Mud, cacao, and caves, oh my! This ATV and buggy tour in Punta Cana takes you on a wild adventure through the Dominican countryside in Punta Cana. Located on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, this half-day adventure tour whisks you through vibrant local villages, the breathtaking countryside, and right up to the stunning coastline.

Punta Cana ATV & Buggy Tour

Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping adventure through the rugged backroads of Punta Cana, where you’ll feel like you’re in a real-life game of Mario Kart Double Dash—zooming through rocky, muddy, and downright dirty trails. And yes, you will get D-I-R-T-Y, so embrace it!

Before the ride begins, you’ll attend a quick “Buggy 101” safety briefing to get you and your partner prepped and ready to roll. It’s important to arrive at least 30 minutes early to check in and hear the safety instructions, as the guides want everyone to feel confident and secure. Once you’re suited up, you’ll hop into your buggy and hit the trails! A few tips to keep in mind to make the most of the ride:

  • Wear Protective Gear: Always use the provided helmets and any additional safety gear, such as goggles, bandanas, or gloves, to shield yourself from dust, debris, and potential accidents.
  • Wear Comfortable Clothing: Choose breathable, comfortable clothes that allow for easy movement. Long sleeves can help protect your skin from sunburn and scrapes. Don’t forget to wear tennis shoes so that you don’t mind getting soaked in mud and dirt!
  • Prepare for the Sun: Apply sunscreen before your tour. Wearing a hat and sunglasses can also help shield you from the sun. Bring water to stay hydrated, especially during warmer months, as the tour lasts about three hours and water breaks may be limited.
  • Maintain Distance: Keep a safe distance from other ATVs or buggies to avoid collisions. If you’re in a group, follow the established spacing guidelines.
  • Know Your Vehicle: Familiarize yourself with the controls and operation of the buggy before hitting the trails. Pay attention to the safety instructions from your guides and don’t hesitate to ask questions if you’re unsure.
  • Watch Your Speed: While it’s tempting to race through the trails, excessive speed can lead to accidents. Take it easy and enjoy the scenery—maintaining a safe speed and distance will help you react quickly to changes in terrain or other vehicles.
